COLORADO SPRINGS, CO--(Marketwired - May 30, 2014) - The Storage Networking Industry Association (SNIA) today announced that registration is now open for the 11th annual Storage Developer Conference (SDC) at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Santa Clara, CA on September 15-18, 2014. SNIA welcomes qualified members of the media and analyst community to receive complimentary registration to attend SDC.
The Storage Developer Conference is an industry technical event focused on developers and covers in-depth the many facets of storage including file systems, software defined storage, big data and Internet of Things, cloud, object storage, SMB2/3, NFS, long-term preservation, solid state storage, storage networking, security, and more. SDC features four days of breakout sessions, general sessions, and Birds-of-a-Feather meetings that attract hundreds of the industry's leading engineers and developers from the worldwide storage community. Conference sessions will cover standards, open-source projects, tools, learned lessons, and present opportunities to meet the experts.
SDC is intended for storage software and hardware developers, storage product and solution architects, storage software engineers, product managers, storage product quality assurance engineers, product line CTOs, storage product customer support engineers, and in-house IT development staff.
Co-located with SDC will be the longstanding SMB 2/3 plugfest which typically attracts over 100 participants from both the US and abroad, and co-located for the second time at SDC, will be the iSCSI plugfest. Also, the Cloud Interoperability plugfest, which focuses on industry cloud standards including SNIA CDMI as well as specifications from OGF, OASIS, DMTF, and others. All of these plugfests allow participants to test, identify, and fix bugs in a collaborative setting.
