Intensive One Day Workshop for Entrepreneurs on Raising Early Stage Capital

WELLESLEY, MA--(Marketwire - May 19, 2010) -  The Capital Network (TCN), Boston's leading non-profit organization providing early-stage entrepreneurial education specifically on the funding process, today announced it will host the 1st Annual Venture Fast Track -- a one day, interactive workshop designed to give entrepreneurs an in-depth understanding of what it takes to raise early stage capital for a startup company. Led by leading experts in the field of startup financing, the limited seat, intensive Boot Camp is a fast-track version of TCN's comprehensive roundtables and expert lunches.

The TCN program will feature panels, interactive roundtable sessions, a special lunch program pairing participating entrepreneurs with key mentors, and a follow on networking cocktail reception. TCN faculty and mentors from New England's leading entrepreneurs and early stage VCs and angel investors include David Biesel of Venrock Capital, Bob Creeden of Partners Innovation Fund, and George Simmons of Launchpad Venture Group. 

Topics will focus on around early stage financing issues such as: Business Models and Financing Plans, Raising Money from Friends & Family, Dilution - Economic Impact of Early Stage Investment & Founder Equity, Pitching the Plan - Marketing Materials & Presentations, Angel and Venture Capital Term Sheets and Valuation & Negotiation.
