Toronto General & Western Hospital Foundation invites media to an auction of some of the world's finest wines and some incredible experiences in support of breakthrough medical research. Please join us:

Date: Saturday, October 29, 2005

Time: 10:45 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Location: The National Trade Centre, 100 Princes' Blvd., Toronto

The live auction will feature an array of the world's finest wine lots. Funds raised from the festival will benefit the Support a Scientist program, ensuring that scientists at Toronto General Hospital and Toronto Western Hospital have the tools they need to find answers to the world's most pressing medical challenges.

Two elephants from Bowmanville Zoo will flank the entrance to Exhibition Hall at the Princes' Gate
1:00 p.m.
Robert Pilon, one of Canada's most respected and sought after vocalists, will perform a song he wrote specifically for this event. Mr. Pilon is best known for his role as one of the phantoms in the Toronto production of "The Phantom of The Opera."
1:15 p.m.
An auctioneer from Christie's will sell an array of the world's finest wine lots, as well as items including:
o A barrel (300 bottles) of 2005 Puligny Montrachet Villages, to be bottled with the buyer's own label
o A nine-litre bottle of 2003 Chateau Haut Brion, one of only five bottles made
o Tickets for two to the 2006 Masters golf tournament in Augusta, Georgia
o Tickets for two to the 2006 Grammy Awards in Hollywood
o Two photographs on canvas of Paris landmarks, taken and signed by designer Karl Lagerfeld
