Media Invitation/Bombardier Aerospace: Family and Community Day 2010

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Sept. 17, 2010) -

Bombardier Aerospace's Toronto facility will host a Family and Community Day on Sunday, September 19, 2010, during which neighbours from the local community will join staff members and their families for a day of special events.

The aircraft production facilities will be open for tours. Guests will have the opportunity to view exhibits tracing the development of the Toronto site from its early production start-up in the 1920s to present time. Some twenty aircraft, including vintage Chipmunk, Tiger Moth and Dragon Rapide planes, will be on static display along with current-production Bombardier aircraft, such as the long-range Global Express XRS business jet, the 88-seat CRJ900 NextGen regional jet and the "comfortably greener" Q400 NextGen turboprop. There will be engineering challenges for older children and several games and activities for younger ones.

Members of the media are invited to attend.
