Media Invitation: Progressive Waste Solutions Opens Canada's Largest Facility Processing Landfill Gas Into Natural Gas

Converting waste into green energy

TERREBONNE, QUEBEC--(Marketwired - March 12, 2015) - A pioneer in environmentally responsible waste management, Progressive Waste Solutions (formerly BFI Canada) is inviting the media to visit the largest facility in Canada to process landfill gas* into biomethane (renewable natural gas) and one of the most ambitious projects of its kind in North America.

The new plant makes use of innovative environmental technologies to convert waste from Greater Montreal and reduce overall reliance on fossil fuels.

Several speakers will be on hand at the facility's official opening to explain how this project will help reduce Greater Montreal's ecological footprint in addition to creating jobs in Quebec. The company will also reveal its new corporate identity and business name. The event will feature the following speakers.
