Media Release: Neighbours Helping Neighbours

CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwired - June 26, 2013) - As we have all heard, Alberta had the largest flood in the history of the province. The images and the stories of the flood are simply unbelievable and look more like something from a movie rather than our neighbours' yards. Many families have been affected by this event and it will take some time to fully recover but with neighbours helping neighbours - it will happen.

"Our thoughts are with those in Alberta, our friends and our neighbours, who have been so devastated by this flood. Peak of the Market has donated $20,000.00 to the Canadian Red Cross for the Alberta Flood Relief. We did this on behalf of all our growers and our co-workers in Calgary and Manitoba," stated Larry McIntosh, President & CEO, Peak of the Market.

"Peak of the Market challenges other companies to help the Alberta flood victims," Larry McIntosh said.

Peak of the Market is a grower-owned "not for profit" vegetable supplier with Offices and Distribution Centres in Calgary and Winnipeg.
