Medical Nutrition Named Supplier by Amerinet Group Purchasing Organization

ENGLEWOOD, NJ--(Marketwire - June 18, 2009) - Medical Nutrition USA, Inc. (NASDAQ: MDNU), a supplier of uniquely engineered medical nutritional supplements for nursing homes, hospitals and dialysis clinics, announced it has been selected as a supplier by Amerinet Inc., a leading national group purchasing organization serving almost 5,800 healthcare institutions including long-term care, acute-care and alternate care facilities across the U.S.

The supplier agreement provides that Amerinet member institutions will be able to purchase Medical Nutrition's Pro-Stat®, Fiber-Stat® and UTI-Stat® product lines at the special prices that Amerinet has negotiated with distributors on behalf of its members. In addition, Amerinet will aid Medical Nutrition in marketing its products to the Amerinet membership.

"We are extremely pleased to be selected as a member of Amerinet's supplier network," said Frank A. Newman, Medical Nutrition's Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. "We know that Amerinet seeks only the best performing and most cost-effective products for its membership and are confident that this agreement will enable us to significantly increase our share of market among Amerinet's member institutions."

In a report on sales and distribution to the long-term care industry in the April 2009 issue of Repertoire [www.repertoiremag.com], Russ Ede, Vice President of non-acute care at Amerinet, said his company is focused on serving the long-term care market where facilities spend about $223.9 billion on patient care, equipment and products. Among the top five products in which Amerinet's long-term care members are interested, Mr. Ede said, are food and nutrition programs, advanced wound care and incontinence care.
