Medical Wire From Anomet Products Is Optimized for Implantable Devices

SHREWSBURY, MA--(Marketwire - May 17, 2011) - Anomet Products, Inc. is introducing custom engineered precious metal clad wire for OEMs and contract manufacturers who are fabricating connectors and bioconductors used in pacemakers, stents, and neurostimulation devices. The wire can achieve specific properties not available in a single alloy.

Anomet Medical Wire combines two or three materials such as platinum for biocompatibility, oxidation and corrosion-resistance, silver for conductivity, tantalum for radiopacity, and gold for contact-resistance. Designed to achieve properties not available in a single alloy, each precious metal and core component of the clad wire is metallurgically bonded together.

Available in sizes from 0.001" to 0.125" O.D., Anomet Medical Wire can incorporate 2% or more cladding thickness, depending upon the desired properties, and provides greater ductility and formability than filled or plated wire products. This clad wire can be made with core and cladding materials including copper, stainless steel, MP35N, Nitinol®, nickel-iron, niobium, molybdenum, palladium, tantalum, and titanium.

Anomet Medical Wire is priced according to metal combinations and quantity. Samples and price quotations are available upon request.
