Medipattern Appoints Director of International Sales

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - Nov. 27, 2006) -

Attention: Business/Financial Editors:

The Medipattern Corporation (TSX VENTURE:MKI), an award-winning developer of computer-aided diagnosis (CAD) software applications for medical imaging, is very pleased to announce the appointment of Drew Sala to the position of Director of Sales. The creation of this position is part of Medipattern's newly focused sales strategy. It reflects the industry's growing interest in Medipattern's expanded product line, the Company's increasing industry profile, and Medipattern's immediate goal to create its own sales channel.

Drew Sala is a highly experienced sales executive with a strong background in CAD. Mr. Sala has more than 25 years experience with multi-channel markets, working with OEMs, dealers, agents, VARs, and direct sales in both domestic and international markets. Most recently, Drew was the Director of International Sales for iCAD Inc., a manufacturer of CAD software and systems for mammography, where he built that company's international sales channel. He was responsible for the successful establishment and expansion of OEM relationships outside the US, and built a significant reseller network worldwide, including training and support for the distribution channels. Mr. Sala played a key role in helping countries develop stronger support for women's health initiatives, including the Chinese Anti-Cancer Association's "Million Women Breast Cancer Screening" program.

"Drew brings global sales experience to our growing team, and his success in establishing international sales channels for breast imaging products is a key addition to Medipattern," said Jeff Collins, President and CEO of Medipattern. "Because Drew specializes in creating business-to-business sales with dealers and representatives world-wide, he is a natural fit for rolling out the Medipattern campaign in a market he knows well and can grow on our behalf."

"I am excited to be part of the Medipattern team. CAD for breast ultrasound and breast MR helps produce more accurate diagnosis, and completes tasks and reporting more quickly," said Drew Sala. "I look forward to helping to introduce B-CAD to the global marketplace by establishing a strong VAR and reseller network -- a particularly exciting prospect among customers whose primary focus has always been ultrasound."
