MediSys Acquires Nutrition Medical Centers -- A Proprietary Wellness and Medical Weight Loss System for Men

PALM BEACH GARDENS, FL -- (MARKET WIRE) -- May 3, 2006 -- MediSys Corporation (OTC: MDYS) announced today that on Friday April 28th it acquired Nutrition Medical Centers, Inc. (NMC), a medically-based proprietary Wellness and Weight Loss System designed by Medical Pioneer Dr. Marvin Reinberg. The parties entered into a LOI on January 10th, 2006, terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

The market for women's weight loss is mature and well developed with women having plenty of options including: Jenny Craig, Weight Watchers and LA Weight Loss. More recently the proliferation of Women's only fitness centers like Curves has further demonstrated the depth of the market. However, men have inadvertently been discriminated against as they have had nowhere to go for professionally supervised Wellness and Weight Loss. With this acquisition MediSys will now have the answer men need. Market awareness regarding men's health has recently increased with the recent Pfizer and Glaxo ad campaigns focusing on Men's Health and Wellness as well as the enactment of the Men's Health Act of 2003, by Congress.

MediSys Corporation's Chief Executive Officer, Joshua Konigsberg, said, "Men's health is hot right now and we are properly positioned to exploit this opportunity gap in the market. The market for men's weight loss is less mature than for women and not developed with men having severely limited options. There are few ad campaigns for men's weight loss -- except perhaps Jared from Subway. Men currently have no place to go for professionally supervised wellness and weight loss. MediSys plans on mass marketing this program nationally so that men will lose weight safely."

Konigsberg went on to say, "This additional module will enable the primary care physicians to enhance their patients' health, while creating more revenues for the Physician's Practice. The Diet Industry generates about to $44 Billion in annual revenues and is growing, so we see this as an opportunity to exploit the gap in the market for men's supervised weight loss."

MediSys Medical Director Dr. Ralph Benson was quoted as saying, "Many of the men that come to the MaxLife Centers for Men™ are overweight and will benefit from what the Wellness and Weight Loss System has to offer. Similarly, many men that are patients of the Weight Loss Program will probably have one or more of the undiagnosed underlying diseases that can be identified earlier with the MaxLife Center for Men™. So, from both a clinical and a marketing perspective these programs are synergistic with each other. It is a tremendous opportunity for the Primary Care Physician to improve the quality of care while enhancing their practice."

On January 10, 2006, MDYS announced it had entered into a Letter of Intent to acquire Nutritional Medical Weight Loss Centers (NMC) which was developed in the late 1980s by medical pioneer Dr. Marvin Reinberg who also recently completed his fourth Board Certification in Family Medicine, a medical achievement less then one percent of family practitioners in the United States has accomplished. Dr. Reinberg completed his MD Degree from Dalhousie University Medical School in Halifax Nova Scotia. He has been in Private Practice since 1969. Dr. Reinberg is licensed in Florida and, New York and he has hospital privileges at Colombia and St. Mary's Hospitals in West Palm Beach. He designed NMC to assist his patients in achieving optimal wellness and health thru diet, nutrition and exercise.

Dr. Reinberg said, "I am positive that MediSys can expand this Doctor-Supervised Weight Loss Program throughout the entire country. MediSys is uniquely positioned to enhance the Doctor's practice revenues while, at the same time, enhancing the lives of the Doctor's patients."

The program was designed years before popular weight loss programs such as the Atkins Diet and South Beach Diet and is scalable for easy and rapid implementation and widespread deployment. MediSys will modernize the technology and enhance the program utilizing the expertise of both Dr. Reinberg and MediSys Medical Director Dr. Ralph Benson.
