Meet the Final Nine of the Student Masters 2012

169 Students Took Part in the Live Poker Event and the Winner Will Take Home EUR4,650 + EUR3,500 Irish Open Seat

DUBLIN, IRELAND--(Marketwire - March 12, 2012) - The Student Masters 2012 commenced on Saturday 10th March in the Burlington Hotel, Dublin with 169 eager students all hoping it was going to be their lucky day.

After 13.5 long hours of play, the final table was at last determined; players from six different colleges will be represented in the final which will take place on Thursday 5th April 2012 (the eve of the Irish Open 2012 event) in the Burlington Hotel, Dublin.

The finalists and their chip counts are:

  • Christopher Dunne (Dublin Institute of Technology): 237,000
  • John Roache (National College of Ireland): 215,200

With 169 players at EUR100 + EUR10 buy-in, the total prize-money for the Student Masters is EUR16,900. In addition, the winner of the Student Masters will receive a complimentary seat in the Irish Open 2012 worth EUR3,500. The prize breakdown was as follows:
