Megola Introduces DECTAN

A Water-Based Rust Converter and Priming Agent That Provides High Heat Resistance

CORUNNA, ON -- (MARKET WIRE) -- May 2, 2007 -- Megola Inc. (PINKSHEETS: MGOA), a leading environmental solution provider, is pleased to introduce another of its newly acquired Hartindo products, DECTAN, a water-based, environmentally friendly rust converter and priming agent that provides high heat resistance.

DECTAN is a complex mixture of a Vinyl Acrylic Copolymer and Tannic Acid. When used to treat corroded steel and iron surfaces, it neutralizes the corrosion process by converting the rust into a blueblack metallo-organic complex which passivates the surfaces. It has been tested and certified as fit for use for the carriage of grain and can also be used in sensitive foodstuff areas.

DECTAN can also be applied to non-finished wooden structures as a priming agent and may be coated when cured with any conventional paint using brush, roller or spray.

DECTAN also includes the total fire inhibitor, AF21 ( Therefore, whether used to treat steel, iron or wood, DECTAN provides extremely high heat resistance, protecting against structure weakening fire by meeting standards of non-ignition, non-burning and zero afterglow.

DECTAN resists spillage to a wide range of corrosive chemicals including strong acids, alkalis, aliphatic solvents, alcohols, glycols, petrol, crude oil and diesel oil. It is designed for application by spray and brush and dries to the touch in as little as 10 minutes to two hours depending on temperature, humidity and air movement.

Megola will be testing DECTAN as a possible alternative to current fire retardant coatings on the market. There is a potential for numerous applications within sectors such as manufacturing, agriculture, chemical production and storage, automotive, transportation, marine, heavy engineering, building and construction, and DIY, among others.
