Megola Joins the Canada Green Building Council

CORUNNA, ON -- (MARKET WIRE) -- March 28, 2006 -- Megola Inc. (OTC BB: MGOA), a leading environmental solution provider in physical water treatment, microbiological control, wastewater treatment and air purification, announced that it has joined the newly formed Canada Green Building Council.

In Canada, buildings are major consumers of energy, water and materials and have a significant impact on the environment. Buildings also affect the health and productivity of people in them and create increasing demand for infrastructure and services provided by communities across Canada.

The Canada Green Building Council (CaGBC) ( exists to accelerate the design and construction of Green Buildings across Canada. The Council is a broad-based inclusive coalition of representatives from different segments of the design and building industry.

The Council will work to:

-- change industry standards;
-- develop best design practices and guidelines;
-- advocate for green buildings; and
-- develop educational tools to support its members in implementing
sustainable design and construction practices.
"The vision of the CaGBC corresponds well with our own. We can't think of a better avenue with which to promote our environmentally friendly product lines and whole-house treatment centers. Our chemical-free means of water treatment and our indoor air quality products lend themselves well to the design and construction of Green Buildings," states Joel Gardner, CEO of Megola.

The Council and its membership will form strategic alliances with key organizations in industry and government to support its work.

The Council will also form a business unit responsible for the adoption and administration of the LEED® Canada rating system (from the US Green Building Council).

LEED® is a comprehensive building rating system, based on proven standards and strategies. The Council will offer independent certification of Canadian projects, and provide support through technical training, professional accreditation and web-based resources.
