Mehula Joins Parsons as Vice President and Program Executive

PASADENA, CA--(Marketwire - January 18, 2010) - Parsons is pleased to announce that Guy Mehula has joined the firm as Vice President and Program Executive.

Prior to joining Parsons, Mr. Mehula served as the Chief Facilities Executive for the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) where he oversaw the largest school construction program in the country. This successful $27 billion program included construction of more than 200 new schools or additions, 20,000 modernization projects, and the facility operation of more than 900 schools. Under his leadership, LAUSD set the standard for school construction nationwide by requiring all new schools to be built to green, sustainable design standards.

Mr. Mehula comes to Parsons with more 30 years of experience in the construction industry, including 25 years in the United States Navy. Culminating his career as a Captain in the Navy Civil Engineer Corps, Mr. Mehula commanded the 30th Naval Construction Regiment responsible for the operation of Naval construction units throughout the Pacific, known as the Seabees.

Mr. Mehula is a registered professional engineer and a LEED-accredited professional. He holds a bachelor's degree in systems engineering from the United States Naval Academy and a master's degree in civil engineering from the University of Florida. He is based in Parsons' Pasadena, California, corporate headquarters.
