Meller IR and Broadband Optics Meet Design and Packaging Requirements

PROVIDENCE, RI--(Marketwired - Mar 25, 2014) -  Meller Optics, Inc. has announced that they produce custom IR and broadband optics that can be fabricated to specification in a variety of configurations for transmitting at wavelengths out to 20 microns.

Meller IR and Broadband Optics can be custom fabricated from materials such as calcium fluoride, magnesium fluoride, germanium, silicon, zinc selenide, and zinc sulfide to meet precise design and packaging requirements. Available as windows, lenses, and mirrors in plano-concave, convex, and meniscus shapes, and as prisms, they can be produced in a wide range of sizes with or without A/R coatings for transmitting at wavelengths out to 20 microns.

Suitable for detector windows, filter substrates, front surface optics, viewports, and related applications, Meller IR and Broadband Optics conform to MIL-PRF-13830 and can be supplied in prototype to production quantities. Sizes can range from 0.25" to 4.0" O.D. or diagonal, with ±0.005" tolerance and thickness to ±0.002" with features such as steps and holes, as required.

Meller IR and Broadband Optics are priced according to material, configura-tion, and quantity. Literature and quotations are available upon request.
