MemberPlanet on a Roll With Mobile App Launch, Enhanced Site Functionality and Significant User Growth

New Functionality Enables Current Clients to Switch From EventBrite, Constant Contact, PayPal, Shutterfly and Square

TORRANCE, CA--(Marketwired - Dec 4, 2013) - MemberPlanet, the functional network that simplifies all of the tasks associated with managing a group, today announced two new ways it improves its users' experience: the launch of its mobile app and enhancement of its events module. The company also exhibited the popularity of its group management platform by posting impressive growth numbers since its public launch, highlighting the growing desire for -- and popularity of -- the MemberPlanet platform.

MemberPlanet launched the first mobile application that provides groups of any size their own custom-branded app that handles all communications and payment processing. The app was designed to assist group leaders with engaging their members and provide them with the ability to process on-site payments for items such as event tickets, donations, or dues -- all on any iOS device. It also lets members stay connected with all of the groups they are associated with and make payments or donations to their groups with a single click. Featuring a straightforward interface, the app synthesizes all key communication and action items that a member has received into a single, manageable feed. Members who are part of multiple groups can seamlessly flip between groups, getting a birds-eye view of everything they need to know, for all of their groups, in seconds. The app also allows members to RSVP to event invitations respond to surveys, and receive group announcements. The Android version of the app will be available in early 2014.

MemberPlanet has also implemented an enhanced events module, offering new features to the tool that groups have been requesting. MemberPlanet's current 4,500+ groups no longer need to use, or pay for, similar functionality on sites like EventBrite or CVENT. In addition, MemberPlanet has expanded the module to include RSVPs, ticket- and merchandise-selling capabilities, event pages, custom email invitations, and event-based photo sharing. Group leaders can track all aspects of their events, including RSVPs, ticket sales, event merchandise and current inventory.

As the most popular "functional network" where leaders can take their groups to the next level and members can connect with all of the groups they are most passionate about, MemberPlanet has also posted impressive growth. The number of groups using MemberPlanet increased by 31% and site usage increased by 53% over just the past three months. The site has attracted a number of prominent organizations to join, including the Nevada State PTA, Delta Gamma International Fraternity and Alpha Sigma Phi Western States Conclave. In addition, more groups are consolidating all of their group-associated tasks onto the MemberPlanet platform from other sites such as Constant Contact, Survey Monkey and PayPal.
