Memeo® Eliminates the Headache of Sending Large Files With First 'Direct-to-Desktop' File Transfer Application

Memeo Send Provides a Fast and Easy Way to Send Presentations and Other Oversized Media

ALISO VIEJO, CA--(Marketwire - March 2, 2009) - Memeo Inc., a leader in digital media management services for the home and business, today unveiled Memeo Send, an application that enables organizations to more easily, quickly and affordably send large files to colleagues and business partners.

Memeo Send eliminates the constraints of email, complexity of FTPs and expense and inefficiency of CDs and DVDs for companies that need to send large files to others. Memeo's 'Direct-to-Desktop' technology automatically delivers files onto colleagues' computer desktops, allowing knowledge workers, graphic artists and legal and sales professionals to save time and stay productive.

The application seamlessly integrates into the Windows® environment so that individuals can easily send files and entire folders by right clicking or dragging and dropping them into the application. Users can also create desktop icons for people they frequently send files to, enabling them to distribute important business documents even more quickly. Those on the receiving end can choose to have files automatically delivered to a folder on their computer, eliminating time spent manually downloading them from a Web site.

According to Gartner(1), "the market for MFT (Managed File Transfer) suites and services is approximately $450 million and is growing at a rate of 21% to 26% year over year... the overall pool of enterprises needing MFT solutions grows faster." Hong Bui, Memeo CEO and founder, said, "In my opinion, businesses have yet to find an efficient method to send large files. Memeo Send solves this problem by providing a simple and fast solution, making organizations more productive."

The application also has file auditing and tracking capabilities that businesses demand as it provides inbound and outbound delivery receipts and status updates. Memeo also offers an online storage add-on that automatically protects and archives documents, providing on-the-go access and an extra layer of security.

Memeo Send is compatible with Windows XP and Vista, with a Mac version soon to follow. It will be available for free use in beta form later this month, and v1.0 will launch in April 2009 with a tiered pricing model based on monthly usage.
