Memorial Children's Hospital Receives $80,000 From 2015 Four Winds Invitational

Funds Raised Will Help Fund a New Multi-Story Home for the Hospital


SOUTH BEND, IN--(Marketwired - Aug 12, 2015) - The Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indians and its Four Winds® Casinos are proud to announce a donation of $80,000 to Memorial Children's Hospital™. The donation, which is from proceeds of the 2015 Four Winds Invitational, will be used to help fund a new multi-story home for Memorial Children's Hospital that will be built above the Memorial Leighton Trauma Center.

"We are pleased that the success of the Four Winds Invitational has enabled us to donate $267,000 to Memorial Children's Hospital over the past four years," said John P. Warren, Chairman of the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indians. "Memorial Children's Hospital is an important part of the South Bend community. We are proud to continue our relationship, which has enhanced the hospital's ability to provide state-of-the-art pediatric care to more than 67,000 children in 2014 alone."

The 2015 Four Winds Invitational was held from Friday, June 19 through Sunday, June 21 at Blackthorn Golf Club in South Bend. The Four Winds Invitational is part of the Symetra® Tour -- Road to the LPGA®. 17 year-old Brooke Henderson, who received a Sponsor's Exemption to play in the tournament, won the Four Winds Invitational, and subsequently was granted Symetra Tour membership.

The Four Winds® Invitational was established in 2012 as part of the Symetra® Tour -- Road to the LPGA® (www.symetratour.com), and is sponsored by the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indians and its Four Winds® Casinos.
