Mendability Releases New Version of Its Autism Therapy at the Annual Autism Society of America Conference

Mendability Releases New Version of Its Patent Pending Sensory Enrichment Therapy for Autism That Includes New Enhancements to Existing Therapy and a New Mobile Friendly Design

AMERICAN FORK, UT--(Marketwired - Jul 10, 2015) - Mendability announced today a new release of its patent pending Sensory Enrichment Therapy program at the annual Autism Society of America conference in Denver, Colorado. This release provides several new enhancements to its current autism therapy program. The upgrades include a new mobile friendly design, as well as the ability to upload videos seamlessly and effortlessly. Also included is an improved search capability of relevant content and articles to help parents and caregivers with their knowledge base for improving therapy delivery.

The development of the mobile technology for use on smart phones and tablets will greatly assist parents and caregivers who implement this therapy in their homes, clinics and school settings. It allows for full functionality of Mendability's therapy program from mobile devices, and also serves as a springboard for the future development of native apps for these devices with added functionality in the future.

Additionally, thanks to the new mobile technology, uploading videos from phones or tablets can now be done with greater ease. Videos are extremely important in Mendability's telehealth therapy. They allow Mendability's therapists to see care recipients, and then gather critical information which is then used to customize therapy based on progress and needs they see. Videos also serve as a real-life catalog of progress for parents and caregivers.

"I am proud of the work we have done as a company which has resulted in this new version of our Sensory Enrichment Therapy. It provides additional functionality that will assist the parents and caregivers who implement the therapy," said Rich Bohne, CEO of Mendability. "Our goal at Mendability is to continue to invest in the technology behind the therapy and to make it more user friendly and intuitive. These improvements translate into greater care and therefore greater results for the children being treated."

About Mendability:
Mendability is the creator and telehealth provider of Sensory Enrichment Therapy for autism. Sensory Enrichment Therapy is a scientifically driven treatment that uses sensory experiences to enable the brain to reduce the symptoms of autism. Mendability provides this therapy over the Internet at a low cost, giving a structured treatment protocol that parents and caregivers can administer twice a day for 10-15 minutes at home without the use of medications. Mendability also provides a kit, which contains the necessary items needed for the exercises, and assigns trained occupational therapists to coach and support the parents. In recent clinical trials of Sensory Enrichment Therapy conducted at University of California, Irvine, 69% of the parents of children with autism who participated in the study reported improvement in their child's autism symptoms. Additionally, some of the children no longer qualified for a diagnosis of classical autism after 6 months of therapy. Monthly prices for Mendability range from $150 to $200.
