Merger Announced Between Horizon Interactive and InfoPros

Technical Documentation Provider Expands Geographic Presence and Services With Merger of Sacramento-Based Marketing Firm

COLORADO SPRINGS, CO -- (MARKET WIRE) -- October 11, 2006 -- Horizon Interactive, a leading provider of outsourcing services for technical documentation development and e-learning, announced today a merger agreement with InfoPros, an information solutions firm specializing in marketing and technical communications.

"This merger accomplishes two key business objectives," says Bernie Schneider, president of Horizon Interactive. "It establishes a concrete base in California and extends our reach into our specialty markets: high-tech, government, higher education, and general engineering. Additionally, InfoPros brings a wealth of marketing and communications expertise to the company, which rounds out our core competencies and offerings: documentation, e-learning and marketing."

The merger keeps Horizon on course with its strategy to expand its presence in the U.S. market, while providing a more diverse blend of content solutions to its clients. "From white papers, software manuals and Web sites, to marketing collateral and communication campaigns, Horizon now provides a full suite of information solutions," Schneider added.

In August 2005, Horizon acquired Portland-based Ace Communications, and in January 2006, it acquired Advacon in Raleigh, N.C. Along with its offices in Colorado Springs, Colo.; Portland, Ore.; Raleigh, N.C.; and now Folsom, Calif., Horizon also has a strong presence in Milwaukee, Wis.

Caroline Drakeley, one of the original founders of InfoPros and now vice president of marketing at Horizon, looks forward to taking the company to the next level. "At a time when Fortune 500 companies are reducing their marketing and IT departments and requiring more flexible options, Horizon Interactive is nationally positioned to provide content solutions at a very competitive price with a scalable team for its clients."

Along with the merger, Horizon will be acquiring the InfoPros name. "One of the unique opportunities in mergers is that the acquiring company can take on any of the assets it chooses," says Schneider. "Horizon has chosen to take on the InfoPros name, which we look forward to branding nationally."

Drakeley concurs. "When managers need to communicate information to any audience, whether it's their clients, customers, or employees, I want them to think of InfoPros -- the information professionals who focus on the message and deliver the results."
