Meridex Strengthens Leadership Team

Addition of new talent bolsters strength of management team and board of directors

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Dec. 7, 2007) - Meridex Software Corporation ("Meridex" or the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:MSC) today announced the appointment of two key management positions and three new Directors to its board. Joining the management team are Dr. Lars-Olof Burchard as Vice President of Research and Development and Jamie Nichols as Director of Network Engineering. Joining the Board of Directors are Bijan Sanii, Bud Smith, and Dave Hallmen. The new Directors were elected by Meridex shareholders at the Company's Annual General Meeting on December 5, 2007.

As Vice President of Research and Development, Dr. Lars-Olof Burchard will manage the research and development division to build a world-class security software development team. With over 10 years of experience in software development, Burchard brings expertise in multimedia, streaming, networking, and distributed systems. Prior to Meridex, Burchard worked as the Director of Engineering at Eyeball Networks Inc. As a Ph.D in Computer Science (Technical University Berlin, Germany), Burchard held research and teaching positions at Technical University Berlin, has published over twenty publications and was awarded a grant from Cisco Systems on his doctoral thesis on quality-of-service enabled networks.

Jamie Nichols will lead the development of the new IP network platform for the Meridex security division. Nichols comes to Meridex from 180 Connect Inc., where he was the leading Network, Design and Sales Engineer. With a career in network design and engineering, Nichols offers extensive experience through his work with the Franklin County PUD Broadband Metropolitan Area Network (MAN), the City of Ontario, Elim Valley (Saint George, UT), Fiberpipe Inc., Power Engineers Inc., and Providence International.

All changes to the Board are effective immediately. The Board of Directors meets quarterly in Vancouver, BC.

Matt Dion is the CEO and President, Meridex Software.

Bijan Sanii CEO and Director of INETCO Systems Limited, has over 10 years of leadership experience in the software industry. Sanii is the Former Executive Chairman of UBVideo Inc and the Former CEO of Infowave Software Inc.

Bud Smith serves as a Director for a number of companies, including Christopher James Gold Corp, Nicola Mortgage Company, Thompson Valley Mortgage Corp., Urban Systems Ltd., Western Provincial Investment Group Corp., and YKA Travelwise Kamloops Ltd. He has served as Minister of Regional Economic Development and Attorney General for the Province of British Columbia.

Dave Hallmen is a Director of 180 Connect Inc., 90 Degree Software Inc. and Calgary Scientific Inc. He was the Chief Operating Officer and Director of ProClarity Corp., which was acquired by Microsoft in 2006.

Adrian Stimpson is the Vice-President of Sales & Marketing for Consilient Technologies and was the CEO of Telesis North Communications Inc.

Marc Sandercombe has been a venture capitalist for the past seven years. Known for his strategic vision, he successfully assists small, high potential companies with strategic focus and funding and acts as a catalyst in attracting management and boardroom talent.

The Board of Directors held a meeting following the AGM and made the following appointments:

David Hallmen has been appointed as Chairman of the Board. The Audit, Finance, Corporate Governance and Nominating Committee consists of Adrian Stimpson, Bud Smith and Marc Sandercombe. The Compensation Committee consists of Bijan Sanii, David Hallmen and Adrian Stimpson.
