Industry Veteran to Speak at DiMeo Schneider & Associates 2011 Investor Conference

AUSTIN, TX--(Marketwire - Sep 12, 2011) - Meritage Capital, L.P., an Austin based alternative investment firm that specializes in multi-manager hedge funds, today announced that Principal and Director John Abraham will be speaking at the DiMeo Schneider & Associates 2011 Investor Conference in Chicago, Illinois on September 14, 2011. Mr. Abraham will focus on investing in credit-oriented hedge funds. Dmitry Balyasny, Founder and CIO of Balyasny Asset Management, will join him.

Prior to joining Meritage Capital, L.P., Mr. Abraham was a Managing Director on the Private Equity team of the Syndicated and Leveraged Finance group at JPMorgan Securities, where he was responsible for underwriting and distributing leveraged loans and high yield bonds for large, sponsor-led leveraged buyouts and multinational corporate credits. During his career at JPMorgan, he completed leveraged financings for companies such as Dunkin' Brands, Realogy Corp., Swift Transportation, United Components and SPX Corp. His partnerships with private equity firms include The Carlyle Group, Apollo, Bain Capital and Thomas H. Lee Partners.
