Merrimack Valley Venture Forum Gazes Into Crystal Ball to Help Companies Forecast 2008 Business Conditions

February 20 Panel Discusses Finance, Tax, & Tech Trends to Help Valley Businesses and Entrepreneurs Find Their Way in New Year

LOWELL, MA--(Marketwire - February 19, 2008) - A panel of local and industry experts will discuss economic and technology trends expected to affect businesses in the new year, and offer advice to help business leaders and managers make intelligent decisions to take advantage of those trends.

A keynote address by D. Dickinson Henry Jr. of the Jordan Institute will focus on environmental trends, giving attendees a view into the powerful influence of "green" initiatives on a wide spectrum of business interests.

Panelists participating in the evening's round table discussion include: Dr. George Plesko, associate professor, University of Connecticut, on tax trends; Dennis Masela, founder and president, WSI Internet Advisors, on Web 2.0 and other tech trends; William Gotha, CEO, Ward Hill Marketing International, on marketing and international strategy; and Richard Halpern, principal, Halpern Info Services, on collaborative research. Dr. Gregory Kivenzor, founder and chief strategist, BiFoS LLC, will moderate.
