Meru Networks Announces New Channel Partner Program; Appoints Seasoned Sales Executive to Lead North American Field Operations

SUNNYVALE, CA--(Marketwire - June 5, 2007) - Meru Networks, the leader in standards-based workplace mobility infrastructure for wireless voice (VoIP), data and video, today announced it has enhanced its channel program to further enable partners to drive demand and capture new business opportunities. Additionally, the company announced the expansion of its sales organization with the appointment of former Juniper Networks channel executive Robert Bruce as vice president of North American Sales Operations.

The new Meru Partner Program is designed to enable and reward partners for the value they add in helping customers address business critical wireless challenges. The program delivers financial incentives and simplified program requirements to help partners leverage Meru Networks' fourth-generation WLAN technology while being more competitive in the marketplace.

"Meru Networks is committed to building a world-class channel program -- the launch of our new Partner Program and the addition of Bob Bruce affirms our commitment to both customers and partners," said Tushar Kothari, senior vice president of worldwide field operations for Meru. "We designed the program to be 100 percent partner-centric around three key principles: a dedication to partner profitability, ease of doing business and joint sales engagement, and we think the partners will value the changes we've put forth with this program."

The new Meru Partner Program outlines two levels of program commitment: Value and Pinnacle. Additionally, the program consists of the following key components:

-- Value-Based Program: Meru Partner program merits based on the
investment a partner makes in Meru Networks. For simplicity and to contain
certification costs, the program leverages a partner's previous investment
    in industry WLAN certifications.
-- Profit Assurance Program: Meru works closely with partners to win
competitive deals and close business by offering additional resources,
support and allowances on a deal-by-deal basis. Meru's goal is to make it
easy to do business with our partners.
-- Enhanced Demo Equipment Program: Meru provides aggressive discounts on
products and service to make it easier for partners to demonstrate Meru's
unique advantages to customers. Meru has also enhanced their Support
Partner Portal to include free software downloads so partners will always
have the most current release of software to demonstrate.
