MetaCarta Names Industry Veteran Frank Ingari to Board of Directors

CAMBRIDGE, MA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- September 18, 2006 -- MetaCarta®, Inc., a leading provider of geographic intelligence solutions, today announced that industry veteran Frank Ingari has joined MetaCarta's board of directors.

Mr. Ingari is the founder and principal of Growth Alley, LLC where he works as an advisor to entrepreneurs at emerging high tech companies. He currently serves as a management coach and advisor at iRobot Corporation (consumer and military robotics), and serves as a board member at Meridio Corporation (compliance infrastructure), Convoq Corporation (instant messaging applications), and Metamatrix Corporation (metadata management and applications integration). Ingari was also the CEO and Chairman of Shiva Corporation, a pioneer in the remote access market, taking the company public in 1994. The company was eventually sold to Intel Corporation.

He has a broad range of Board experience including public companies such as Powersoft and Sybase as well as private, venture-backed start-ups. Ingari graduated summa cum laude from Cornell University.
