Metals Creek Resources Corp. Acquires Claims Near the Goldquest Area, Southwestern Newfoundland

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - May 3, 2011) - Metals Creek Resources Corp. (the "Corporation") (TSX VENTURE:MEK) is pleased to announce that the Corporation has acquired through staking of 280 mineral claims in southwest Newfoundland. The claims adjoin the Goldquest Joint Venture project between Buchans Minerals Corp's (TSX VENTURE:BMC) and Benton Resources Corp's (TSX VENTURE:BTC) where Buchans Minerals has recently announced the discovery of abundant mineralized quartz vein material containing trace to several percent sulphides. Assay results reported were up to 106.38 g/t gold and 364.3 g/t silver in float samples and 8.52 g/t gold and 30.7 g/t silver from grab samples from outcrop (see news releases dated Jan. 11, 2011).

The Metals Creek claims cover an historic showing of (Reference) 1g/t gold, 9.6 g/t silver and 0.75% copper in surface grab samples, (Ref-Mineral Occurrence Database System National Mineral Inventory Number: 012A/05/Cu 001), directly on strike and 8.5 kms north of the Goldquest occurrences. Data compilation by the Corporation also shows a report of 10g/t gold , 19.5 g/t silver from grab samples in a rock cut in the highway just south of the historic showing. (Ref - NL government assessment report # 012A/05/0467). The reader should be cautioned that these historic results have not been verified by the Corporation and are historic in nature, so should not be relied upon.

Subsequent to staking, Metals Creek has completed a soil sampling survey over a grid measuring 1400m x 1000m. Results of this survey have identified an anomalous gold trend with soil samples ranging from 5 ppb up to 544 ppb, with several in the 100 to 500 ppb range. At this time there has been no prospecting or sampling in the area. Initial prospecting will commence when snow conditions permit.

The Corporation believes this is an excellent opportunity to get in early on an exciting grassroots gold play. Michael MacIsaac, P.Geo and VP Exploration for the Corporation and a qualified person as defined in National Instrument 43-101, is responsible for this release, and supervised the preparation of the information forming the basis for this release.
