Metamedia Capital Corp.: Internet Broadcasting- Now a Reality at CosmosIPTV.com

CALGARY, ALBERTA--(CCNMatthews - Aug. 22, 2005) - Metamedia Capital Corp. (TSX VENTURE:MME) ("Metamedia" or the "Company") is pleased to announce the launch of its broadcast division under the web- banner " CosmosIPTV.com ".

Full screen, broadcast quality content, and instant world-wide distribution on an affordable basis through the web is now a reality. The potential viewer market around the globe is estimated to be nearly 200 million people whose ethnic descent is from Southeastern Europe and selected Middle Eastern countries. The Company anticipates being able to provide broadcast services to these markets at nominal cost compared to the options available today.

High-resolution, internet-protocols-based television signals are being transmitted on the Company's website, www.metohos.com/cosmos to demonstrate the technology. Two clips, one in the English language and one in the Greek language, are available on the site for the public to view the technology at work and provide feed-back.

Pursuant to the agreement with CSC Global Technologies of Calgary, announced May 30th, 2005, the Company has assembled the hardware infrastructure necessary to demonstrate streaming and live feeds directly to user's personal computers or, via any connection, to television sets anywhere.

Metamedia's network is being built to cater to niche markets world wide comprised of individuals with an interest in their heritage and everything relating to it, be it education, business, culture or travel. As a first step, the company will cater to Hellenic-descent individuals residing around the globe with content pertinent to their heritage. Individuals of Turkish, Cypriot or Balkan origins will shortly enjoy the same services via the "CosmosIPTV Network".

The network is the licensed twin network to CSC's 200-channel network, currently sold by CSC to a variety of content providers around the globe, except for the markets noted above, which are exclusive to Metamedia.

Many corporations market streaming downloadable video currently through the use of software or hardware that downloads and replays signals. None however, can deliver live broadcasting at the quality and immediacy of the CSC and Metamedia networks at such low cost to the user.

The demonstration test period for the network has been set to end October 31, 2005. The Company will announce the results and feedback, and set a date for regular broadcasting to viewers in a news release subsequent to that date.

The TSX Venture Exchange does not accept responsibility for the adequacy or accuracy of this press release.
