MetroStar Systems Launches Innovative Twitter Moderation Application

MyStanly Developed to Meet Organizational Social Media Needs

RESTON, VA--(Marketwire - May 16, 2011) - MetroStar Systems, a leader in full-service information technology (IT) and strategies for new media and enterprise collaboration, today announced it has launched MyStanly, an intuitive Twitter moderation application, ideal for associations, government agencies, and the private sector to build brand awareness by engaging audiences. Brought to life by MetroStar Systems' StarLabs division, MyStanly allows users to shape conversations occurring via Twitter platforms by customizing parameters, while also removing any spam and tweets containing obscene language. The service allows users to create frameworks to track subjects, keywords, and hashtags, as well as incorporate custom filtering capabilities. MyStanly is hosted on the Microsoft® Windows Azure cloud and is built on the Microsoft .NET framework, allowing for virtually limitless scalability.

"By displaying moderated tweets at expos, conferences, and on Facebook fan pages, MyStanly facilitates audience participation and brand engagement without all the irrelevant noise," said Theresa Kattula, MyStanly Product Manager, MetroStar Systems. "The StarLabs Team addressed not only the demand for moderation on multiple displays, but understood the need for organizations to integrate their brand in social media platforms. I am extremely proud of our StarLabs Team for developing this tool; they truly captured the culture of innovation at MetroStar Systems."

MyStanly operates by allowing users to setup custom parameters, and then filter tweets set to those parameters. Users can then post or reject tweets as desired. MyStanly customized tweet streams can be displayed in a variety of ways, including custom display models, RSS feeds, or embedded into a Facebook fan page, and can be up-and-running in minutes. While all displays allow users to upload a brand's logo, MyStanly also has a dedicated graphic design team that can create a more encompassing custom look to create a stronger tie into an event or organization. The initial version of MyStanly allows for Twitter moderation, but future iterations may also have the capability to moderate other social media platforms, as well as utilize the service via mobile devices.

MyStanly will be debuted at the American Council for Technology - Industry Advisory Council (ACT-IAC) 2011 Management of Change (MOC) Conference being held May 15-17, 2011 at the Homestead Resort in Hot Springs, Virginia.
