WASHINGTON, DC--(Marketwire - Dec 10, 2012) - Mark G. Anderson Consultants ("MGAC") announced today that it has acquired Dougherty Partners, a Manhattan based, full service real estate development and construction management firm specializing in retail development. Dougherty Partners has worked with many of the nation's top retailers on national rollouts, high-end flagship stores and the new trend of pop-up stores.
The acquisition will allow MGAC to open a Manhattan office to service retail and corporate clients with local expertise in the New York metropolitan and Northeast Corridor markets. Dougherty Partners has worked for some of the nation's premier brands and leading retailers including Godiva, Brooks Brothers, Levi's, Spanx, Elizabeth Arden Red Door Spa, Ann Taylor and C Wonder. MGAC retail clients include Chop't, OfficeMax, Pacific Sunwear, and Discovery Channel.
"MGAC's clients are the biggest winners in this acquisition because the strength of our two organizations will deliver better business outcomes than ever before," said Mark G. Anderson, President of MGAC. "In today's highly competitive retail environment, success frequently depends on a retailer's ability to manage multiple concurrent projects across a wide geography. Our world-class provision of Program Management services is capable of providing a single point procurement from project estimating through design to construction and punch list. Together with Dougherty Partners, we can enhance our Program Management platform to take our clients' initial visions from concept to prototype to national and international rollouts."
Tom Dougherty, founder and president of Dougherty Partners, concurs: "MGAC's singular commitment to their clients is an ideal fit for us. Their passion, energy, perseverance and quality service are all trademark elements that Dougherty Partners shares. Dougherty Partners was attracted to MGAC because of their bi-coastal and international presence. The fact that the firm has a deep resume of international projects is an added bonus. By joining forces with MGAC, we will have the resources to further expand MGAC's reach in an increasingly global business environment."
