mgMEDIA Partners With Fastweb to Create the Multi-Device Platform for Chili TV

MILAN, ITALY and LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM--(Marketwire - June 27, 2011) - With the arrival of Smart TVs, theater seats exchange roles with living room couches. Tomorrow's viewer will have within his reach a manifold supply of content he may rent using his TV remote, and he also may play these contents on other portable devices.

mgMEDIA has cooperated with FASTWEB, Italy's leading broadband telecommunications provider, in the creation of a multi-device platform for the distribution of Chili´s OTT content (www.chili-tv.it).

Chili is available on Italian LG and Samsung Devices (Smart TVs, BDP and Smart Upgraders). It runs with very simple procedures for registration, device activation and payment. Chili offers movies from major film studios like Warner and Paramount, as well as other local distribution Companies. Furthermore, its content is available in different resolutions (SD, HD and HD+). Within the next few months, Chili will be integrated with Android devices, as well as with other manufacturers (Philips, Sharp, Panasonic...)

Chili offers a Free channel with around 1000 videos (Entertainment, Kids, Lifestyle...) and Premium content from only 2,95€.

mgMEDIA has used its Open4Content Four Screen technology to create this service for Chili which will allow users to enjoy movies and series on their televisions, smartphones, tablets and computers.
