MHP Inc. Receives Financial Support From Government of Canada for Productivity Enhancement


SAINT-JÉRÔME, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - Feb. 27, 2012) - The Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of Transport, Infrastructure and Communities and Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec, announces that MHP Inc., a company specializing in the manufacture of recycled plastic products, has been granted financial assistance for the acquisition of production equipment.

"This is yet another example of the Government of Canada's determination to support enterprises that, like MHP, are making the necessary investments to raise their productivity," says Minister Lebel.

Founded in 2008, MHP Inc. has a client base consisting primarily of plastic products manufacturers and agri-food companies. The firm's project involves, among other things, acquiring a thermoforming machine to diversify its manufacturing operations and increase its value-added activities, as well as to improve plant performance and bolster sales to export markets.

The financial assistance announced today is in the amount of $53,300 and is repayable. It has been granted through Canada Economic Development's Business and Regional Growth program.
