Miami Attorney Harry Payton Appointed to Florida Bar Judicial Nominating Procedures Committee

MIAMI, FL--(Marketwire - May 9, 2011) - Harry Payton, a seasoned trial lawyer and one of 97 Florida attorneys who is Florida Bar Board Certified in the specialties of both business litigation and civil trial, was appointed to the Florida Bar Judicial Nominating Procedures Committee for a three-year term beginning July 1, 2011. The scope and function of the Judicial Nominating Procedures Committee is to assist the Governor and the Judicial Nominating Commissions in discharging their respective duties under Article V, Section 11, Constitution of Florida. The committee establishes the rules and procedures for the state's 26 nominating commissions.

Payton has been listed in Florida Super Lawyers since 2006, and named as one of the Best Business Litigators in the South Florida Legal Guide since 2005. He has participated in numerous committees of the Florida Bar and American Bar Association, and currently serves on the Florida Bar's Judicial Administration and Evaluation Committee.
