LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwired - Jun 5, 2013) - Michael Doneger, founder of Cloverhill Pictures, premiered his first theatrical feature, This Thing With Sarah (for which he wrote, directed, starred and executive produced alongside producer Michael David Lynch), to great acclaim at the 16th Annual "Dances With Films" film festival at the Hollywood Chinese Theatre.
This Thing With Sarah is a clever romantic comedy about the person one chooses to help them through a difficult time in their life. When a down-and-out writer (played by Michael) is dumped by his long-time girlfriend, he forms a budding relationship with a mysterious and quirky British surfer who helps him move on from his ex.
Michael Doneger has written, directed, acted and produced a number of short films and internet content. In 2011, he was one of ten finalists out of six thousand submissions, to advance in the "Crash The Super Bowl" commercial competition with his advertisement Elevator Girl. Although his ad was not one of the six selected to air during the Super Bowl, he used the money he earned as a finalist to fund This Thing With Sarah.
