Michael Gibbons Wins 2010 Timer of the Year Award

LAS VEGAS, NV--(Marketwire - January 5, 2011) - Michael Gibbons of Gibbons' Trading LLC has been awarded Timer Digest's highly prestigious 2010 Timer of the Year award. Timer Digest monitors over 100 of the world's leading stock market timers. Notably, this is Gibbons' fourth Timer of the Year award having won the same honor in 2002, 2007, and 2008. No one in the history of Timer Digest has won Timer of the Year honors four times.

In 2010, Gibbons outperformed the S&P 500 by a staggering 294.62 points. His trading model has significantly outperformed the S&P 500 since it was developed eight years ago. He credits this performance to the fact that his trading model does not attempt to call market tops and bottoms, but rather follows trends. It is designed to let profits run and cut losses short. This allows investors to be generally long when markets are rising and short when they are declining. His average winning trade is four times the size of the average losing trade.

A long time broker, advisor, and money manager, Gibbons was one of the first in the nation to hedge risk with financial futures in the early 1980s, as well as one of the first to employ stock index arbitrage. Gibbons' clients are primarily large traders and hedge funds. His market timing model is sought all over the world.

Gibbons' Trading provides subscribers with an ETF publication that trades three market index related ETFs and a gold ETF. His other publication trades the S&P 500 and highlights various conservative option writing strategies based on his trading model. There are several Model Portfolios that subscribers might use to take advantage of high probability trading opportunities.
