Michael Vick Signs Worldwide Licensing Deal With UNEQUAL Technologies

Top-Rated "I Won't Play without My Unequal" Quarterback Becomes First Athletic Spokesperson for UNEQUAL Technologies

PHILADELPHIA, PA--(Marketwire - January 26, 2011) - Unequal Technologies, the premier provider of shock-blocking sports products, today announced it has signed a multi-year deal with Michael Vick, Philadelphia Eagles quarterback, to serve as their corporate spokesman. This is Vick's first worldwide licensing deal since returning to the field in 2010.

"I'm thrilled to be a part of the Unequal team. I've been wearing Unequal chest protectors, shoulder pads, and thigh pads for much of the late and post-season -- resulting in pain-free playing," stated Vick. "The Unequal technology is a part of my game now and I won't play without my Unequal. Unequal's protective power gives me a whole new level of confidence in my game. It makes me feel invincible."

When Vick's ribs were injured after being drilled by a pair of Washington Redskins, the Eagles equipment staff contacted Unequal to build a lightweight, comfortable, flexible vest that could withstand the force of a NFL style blitz. Unequal answered the call with its EXOskeleton™ technology that it originally developed for the military. Vick used the Unequal Chest Protector in the November 7th game against the Indianapolis Colts to protect his ribs. After the game Vick said the Unequal Pad made him feel invincible. Vick was so impressed with the protective power of Unequal that he asked for his shoulder pads to be retrofitted with Unequal. Most recently, Vick's thigh was injured and Unequal built EXOskeleton™ thigh pads that were thin, light and able to withstand the crushing force of a blitz. Most NFL players do not use leg protection because they are heavy, rigid and impede performance. But not the Unequal EXOskeleton™. "I forgot the Unequal pads were in my pants," says Vick after sustaining several direct hits to his thighs. "I didn't feel a thing!"

Unequal was first introduced to many of the NFL teams, including the Philadelphia Eagles, with its Unequal Insoles. The players prefer them because they absorb up to 80 percent of chronic impact shock ("CIS") all while delivering unmatched comfort. Unequal's secret is its patented composite is made with DuPont Kevlar®, the #1 shock absorbing fiber in the world.

"We're excited and proud to have Michael on our team," said Rob Vito, President of Unequal Technologies. "In considering this deal there were several factors. As a dog owner, I know the love of a pet and the tremendous loss we felt when she died of cancer. But as a Christian, I believe that people can repent and deserve a second chance. I share President Obama's support for Michael Vick and believe America is truly the land of second chances. I commend the NFL and the Eagles for granting Vick the opportunity to make a better life for him and his family. Vick's performance on the field this season was unequaled and his passion for the game is in lock-step with our vision. After experiencing firsthand the Unequal difference, Vick asked to work with us to make safer protective gear for athletes. We believe, together, we can educate athletes, parents and children on the benefits of the Unequal Technology and help eliminate the daily pain and needless injuries encountered on and off the playing field."

UNEQUAL® Technologies composite is made with aramid (e.g., DuPont's Kevlar® is a type of aramid). Aramid is a high tensile strength fiber that is soft as a bed sheet, yet five times stronger than steel, and has the world's best shock-blocking properties. This is why the military uses aramid in bullet resistant vests and why Unequal uses aramid in its patented protection products.

About UNEQUAL Technologies
UNEQUAL Technologies changes athletes ability to stay healthier and consumers ability to "get active" by reducing the chronic impact shock ("CIS") that causes aches and pains with each step taken, regardless of a person's physical activity. Orthopedic surgeons and podiatrists warn that CIS, a force equal to up to five times a person's weight that radiates up through the body with every step, can cause aches, pains and premature aging of muscles, joints, and bones. The patented, shock-blocking power of UNEQUAL® blocks up to 80% of CIS, enabling people to go stronger, stay on their feet longer, and feel better. With 57 U.S. and international patents and patents pending, UNEQUAL Technologies is the premier provider of shock-blocking sportswear. For more information, go to www.UNEQUAL.com.
