Michelle Mansheim Talks Successful School Turnaround in Clifton, Colorado

Principal of Clifton Elementary School Presents School Transformation Webinar

PHOENIX, AZ--(Marketwire - Jun 20, 2011) - Clifton Elementary has achieved significant gains in its interim test results and Principal Michelle Mansheim wants to share her experience. Clifton's results demonstrate the rapid impact of the school improvement grant (SIG) they received in 2010, after years of struggling to make adequate yearly progress (AYP). Using the grant funds, Clifton enlisted the support of Evans Newton Incorporated (ENI) to improve math curriculum and instruction at the beginning of the 2010-2011 school year, and the results are showing.

Mansheim says, "I truly believe the increases in our interim scores were impacted by the work ENI has supported us with. This has been a complete culture shift for the entire school that has spilled over to all aspects of instruction. I expect to see a significant increase in our Math and ELA CSAP scores in August."

Michelle Mansheim, principal of Clifton Elementary, will describe the school's transformation in a webinar titled, "Situation Analysis: Identifying Where you Are and Where You Need to Go," on June 29th and 30th at 11:30 MDT. This is the first installment of a nine part school transformation webinar series sponsored by ENI.

During the webinar participants will learn how to quickly evaluate their current school/district's environment, identify and re-evaluate their school/district's objectives, and analyze and mitigate the root causes hampering their school/district's improvement. The remainder of the series will feature other educators sharing similar success stories.

ENI's president, Tami Zale, said, "I am excited to have one of ENI's partner schools share their story. We are proud of our work with Clifton Elementary, which is already seeing positive results from ENI's TargetTeach® process. I traditionally see this in schools and districts that have a strong leadership team and are truly committed to their students' success."
