"Bill Schuette has the experience and vision to be an outstanding attorney general," said James P. Hallan, MRA president and chief executive officer.

"His experience in all three branches of government makes him both extremely well qualified and able to carry out his agenda of protecting the public from crime and spurring economic development as he works with the new governor and legislature to turn this state around."

The endorsement came after a meeting between Mr. Schuette and the MRA Board of Directors. The endorsement was unanimous.

Mr. Schuette also received the unanimous endorsement of the Retailers Mutual Insurance Company Board of Directors, which participated in the meeting. Retailers Mutual provides workers' compensation insurance to the wide range of MRA members.
