Michigan Ross Launches Digital Bootcamp to Improve Employee Engagement

Five-Course Series Taps Technology Firm to Advance Social and Collaborative Learning Within Organizations

ANN ARBOR, MI--(Marketwired - Sep 1, 2016) - The University of Michigan's Stephen M. Ross School of Business today announced the launch of an "Employee Engagement Bootcamp," based on the latest research performed by Dave Ulrich, world-renowned Human Resources expert, Kim Cameron, founder of the Center for Positive Organizations at Michigan Ross, and Shawn Achor, best-selling author and speaker. Through the boot camp, executives earn credentials through a series of digital "learning sprints," designed to equip leaders with the tools and knowledge to improve employee productivity and collaboration.

Productivity is a top priority for senior HR leaders, with an increasing body of research linking positive leadership with employee engagement. Research suggests that engaged workers are 33% more likely to assist colleagues and achieve their goals.

"This body of research is having a groundbreaking impact on organizations. By leveraging the best of technology and learning science, we can help executives to apply emerging management strategies in real-time," said Melanie Weaver Barnett, Chief Executive Officer of Executive Education at Michigan Ross.

Within each "sprint" executives will explore ways to create happiness in the workplace, empower their employees and drive staff to find meaning in their everyday work. The courses will be delivered via a next generation collaboration platform designed by CorpU, which is used by dozens of Fortune 1000 companies to activate strategies across the enterprise, and tap the collective genius of teams through purpose built groups and enterprise-wide "idea tournaments."

"CorpU technology and its academic research helps the most successful companies in the world empower their employees to tackle pressing business challenges and activate strategies," said Alan Todd, CorpU Founder and CEO. "With Michigan Ross' help, we are giving executives access to the best minds in employee engagement, in an easy and convenient format."
