Micro Imaging Technology Announces Orders From Yotsubishi Corporation

SAN CLEMENTE, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- March 6, 2007 --Micro Imaging Technology, Inc. (OTCBB: MMTC) announced that it has received initial orders for MIT's systems for rapid microbial identification from Yotsubishi Corporation. Michael Brennan, MIT's Chairman, stated that "It is an honor to be chosen as a system supplier for Yotsubishi Corporation -- whose core competence is providing environmental sampling and monitoring instrumentation. Significant market penetration is expected by coupling MIT's systems that are capable of detecting pathogens simply and within minutes with the proven strength of Yotsubishi's marketing and support resources. The Yotsubishi orders come after MIT's recent announcement on January 7, 2007, of an OEM Supply Agreement from San Diego-based JMAR Corporation -- these orders are starting MIT's year off on a very positive note."

About Micro Imaging Technology:

MIT has developed and patented a laser-based technology for rapid microbe detection and identification. The system measures scattered light intensity as individual microbes pass through a laser beam. The intensity pattern of the scattered light is a direct consequence of the size, shape and external and internal optical characteristics of the microbe. The MIT System is non-biological and does not rely on biological agents, conventional chemical processing, fluorescent tags, gas chromatography or DNA analysis.

MIT has demonstrated the ability to detect and identify, within minutes, the microbes Escherichia coli, Listeria, Salmonella, Staphylococcus aureus, Shigella and other pathogenic bacteria and protozoa; including Cryptosporidium and Giardia. The identification process has been tested and verified by North American Science Associates, Inc. (NAMSA), an independent and internationally recognized testing and certification laboratory. The NAMSA Test Report, available from the Company, confirms the accuracy, speed and efficiency of the MIT system over conventional processes.
