MicroSeismic Achieves Over 1 Million Man Hours Without a Lost Time Incident

HOUSTON, TX--(Marketwired - Jan 20, 2015) - MicroSeismic, Inc. (MicroSeismic) announced today that it has achieved 1,075,548 hours without a lost time incident (LTI).

LTI is generally reported in terms of a rate that takes into account the number of lost time cases per 100 full-time equivalent employees. The rate is calculated as number of incidents multiplied by 200,000 divided by Number of Hours, and is reported on industry networks such as ISNetworld. In 2014, in MicroSeismic's industry sector, the average LTI rate was 0.9. The Company's rate of 0.0 is a tremendous accomplishment given the number of hours worked.

"This achievement is first and foremost thanks to the diligence and focus of our people. It's also thanks to the work ethic we've established at MicroSeismic: living and communicating a Safety First culture throughout the organization," said Terry Jbeili, Chief Operating Officer, MicroSeismic. "Our crews work around the clock often times in severe conditions, exposed to the elements day and night. This is a testament to MicroSeismic's diligence and commitment to customers worldwide."

MicroSeismic views HSE as a priority and as such established its Health, Safety & Environment Management System in 2012. The System is a proactive approach to promote the health and safety of employees, contractors and visitors, and to also ensure that work activities have minimal impact on the environment.
