MicroSeismic Continues Gift of Hearing Program for the Holidays

20 Hearing Aids Donated to Memorial Hermann Adolescent Patients in 2014

HOUSTON, TX--(Marketwired - Dec 16, 2014) - MicroSeismic, Inc. (MicroSeismic) announced today that via donations to Houston's Memorial Hermann Foundation, it has provided over 20 patients with hearing aids in 2014. MicroSeismic's pledge is that for every well monitored, the Company will make a financial contribution to hospitals in Houston, Denver, and Calgary to help under-privileged children with hearing disabilities.

Twenty children have been fitted thus far; they range in age from two to 18 years of age. Tremion (age 8) is the most recent recipient and is undergoing a fitting for hearing aids in both ears this month. He was diagnosed with hearing loss in November and, without amplification, is unable to hear 70-100% of conversation and sounds at normal levels. He is excited to be receiving his "new ears" just in time for the holidays!

"I am very pleased to see that our continued success as a company and thus related contributions to the Memorial Hermann Foundation are providing so many children with the opportunity to improve their hearing," said Greg Burns, VP, Human Resources, MicroSeismic. "We use the tagline 'Better Frac, Better World' at MicroSeismic. It's wonderful to see this Gift of Hearing program come to life in such a significant way."

MicroSeismic's growth in 2014 enabled the company to exceed its financial commitment of $50,000, and it is looking forward to surpassing its goal in 2015. Memorial Hermann is equally eager to fit even more patients with hearing aids next year. The first child to be fitted in January is a seven-year-old boy who is having difficulty in school due to hearing impairments. He is excited to be able to listen and learn along with his friends in school.
