MicroSeismic, Inc. Announces New Facility in Center, Texas

Steady Business in the Haynesville Drives Development of Permanent Facility: A Win for MicroSeismic Clients and the Center Community

HOUSTON, TX and CENTER, TX--(Marketwire - Jul 28, 2011) - MicroSeismic, Inc. announced today that it will open a new facility in Center, Texas, late this summer. A grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony will follow the facility's completion and mark the occasion. Center, Texas was chosen from eight potential sites based on their proximity to existing and planned BuriedArray™ installations in the Haynesville Basin and Center's progressive, business-friendly attitude.

The 10,000 sq. ft. facility will be an economic asset to Center, creating local jobs. A determining factor for locating the facility in Center was the availability of trained resources from the Petroleum Technology program recently established by the local branch of Panola College. This program focuses on petroleum technology to prepare students for jobs in the oil and gas industry. MicroSeismic has interviewed a number of past and present Panola students and considers them front runners for new positions when the facility begins operations.

"The energy industry's development of the Haynesville Shale has provided many opportunities for business development and job creation within the region. The City is pleased to have MicroSeismic completing their project and welcomes them as Center's newest corporate citizen. This level of development and long term investment by companies within the energy industry, such as MicroSeismic, ensures the sustainability of our local economy's recent growth," said Center Mayor David Chadwick.

Peter Duncan, Founder and President of MicroSeismic, said, "We couldn't be more pleased with this new growth in the Haynesville Basin and will be proud to call Center, Texas one of our home bases. This facility is a permanent investment for the Company and we hope the residents of Center will view MicroSeismic as a trusted member of the business community."

Dr. Joe Shannon, Panola College Dean of Instruction, said, "We feel fortunate that our students will reap the benefits of this first-of-its kind program. MicroSeismic's decision to build in Center is truly an investment in our future."

MicroSeismic's clients will also benefit from the new location. Locally based employees will become more familiar with the basin and its characteristics, and be able to mobilize more quickly for client projects.

Initially, experienced MicroSeismic employees will lead the operations, and will train new hires on the technology and various functions. The MicroSeismic facility will be located in the Center Industrial Park at the intersection of Highway 7 and Loop 500.
