MicroSeismic, Inc. Names Jeff Bruce as General Manager of Northeast Region

Increased Business in the Marcellus and Utica Shales Drives Regional Expansion


HOUSTON, TX--(Marketwire - Feb 2, 2012) - MicroSeismic, Inc. announced today that Jeff Bruce has been appointed General Manager for the Northeast region. In this role, he will be responsible for overseeing MicroSeismic's business and operations throughout the Appalachian Basin.

Jeff Bruce has more than 30 years of experience in the global petroleum industry with expertise in frontier exploration through field appraisal and development. He began his career with Conoco in 1980 as a senior geologist and advanced to VP of Exploration for ConocoPhillips in Indonesia and China. In these leadership roles, he was responsible for managing sizeable capital and operating budgets with large and diverse staffs, leading government and regulatory negotiations and was a key decision maker on all exploration activities.

Bruce earned a Bachelor of Science in Geology from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania. He is a Certified Petroleum Geologist and a member of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG), Society of Exploration Geophysicists (SEG) and Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE). He also served as the Asia Pacific representative within the AAPG House of Delegates from 2008-2011 and has authored numerous technical papers.
