The new platform is still based on Midpoint's US patent for multi-party matching which it received as the original web-based peer to peer currency exchange platform. Any registered and authorized individual or company can now conduct foreign currency payments at the midpoint of the interbank market exchange rate for a transparent fee.
Midpoint is registered in the UK with both the FCA (Financial Conduct Authority) as a small payments Institution and HMRC as a money service business under the anti money laundering regulations.
