Midtown Business Radio Features Escalate

Chief Advocacy Officer, Stuart Sheldon, Discusses Measurable Marketing

ATLANTA, GA--(Marketwired - January 07, 2015) - On December 26th, 2014, Midtown Business Radio welcomed Stuart Sheldon of Escalate to the studios. Host CW Hall hosted a special holiday edition from Atlantic Station and discussed Word of Mouth marketing and engaging customers with five senses to understand brands.

Sheldon received his BA in English and Journalism from Washington and Lee University. He is the former Senior Brand Manager at The Coca-Cola Company, as well as a former founder and Evangelist Prime with ConnectUs Marketing. He won the 2006 Coca-Cola North America Big, Bold & Inspiring Marketing award and was a finalist for the Coca-Cola Worldwide Marketing Excellence award.

"Less than 5% of Word of Mouth marketing happens in digital/social space," said Sheldon. "Social media can efficiently help you scale quickly, but 80% of buzz on social media is going to be neutral -- retweets with no added value. Word of Mouth makes up about 70% of recommendations. Face to face conversations involve about 3.2 people, last 9 minutes, include discussion of 4 brands on any given topic -- and drive direct interest."

Escalate, with offices in New York and Atlanta, fuses Experiential plus Word of Mouth Marketing to foster meaningful relationships between customers and brands. The company understands that if you give people an unexpected, authentic experience that makes their day more interesting, they'll not only remember it -- they'll talk about it. And the recommendation of a friend carries more credibility than any advertisement ever could.
