Mike The Pike Productions Talks Ticketmaster/Increases Staff Toward 2010 Expansion

MTP Prods Adds New Business Development Division, Administrator and Promotions Associates to Team

FORT WAYNE, IN--(Marketwire - October 13, 2009) - Mike The Pike Productions, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: MIKP) CEO/President, Mark B. Newbauer, announces that it has taken on new employees as a necessity in fulfilling 2010 goals as it continues to expand operations nationally in its Concerts/Events division. Additional staff includes an Executive Administrator, two Promotions Associates in charge of venue, demographics and overall show data research and a New Business Development Department which has already been key in acquiring sponsorship dollars from advertisers toward increased revenue. The New Business Development Department will be doubling over the next month as MTP makes an exciting addition to the business model that will be announced in the near future.

Newbauer comments, "Our shows will continue to feature hot up-and-comers as well as top-level talent from agencies such as William Morris-Endeavor, International Creative Management (ICM) and Creative Artists Agency (CAA), among others. The shows thus far have been instrumental in positioning ourselves within the industry as we continue to grow. Working with brands such as Comedy Central and Crush Management ( enables us to book shows faster and more cost-effective with each show we do and its nothing short of attractive for the right sponsors to attach themselves as well. This year we've ambitiously acquired sponsorships with companies large and small including Holiday Inn, Absolute Tan, CN Sounds, Healthkick Nutrition, Oasis Radio Group, Piere's Entertainment and Crazy Pinz, to name a handful. This is where we are progressive as independent promoters. It's these sponsors that help make up for less than expected ticket sales as we experienced as a result of our summer send-off 2009 with a last minute cancellation by Good Charlotte. Here, we had a great crowd of around 4500-5000 people, and we did receive a full refund and promise of a good deal by GC management around album release next year, for the cancellation; but we also suffered a good deal of ticket refunds thus far and it's our sponsorships and merchandising that kept us profitable overall on the show."

The company also looks forward to settlement on its Comedy Central/Mike Birbiglia show at Indiana-Purdue at Fort Wayne event last Friday, October 9th. CEO Newbauer comments, "The show was fantastic and received well by the crowd which I estimate at around 700-750 people for the night dominating the $20-$24 seating chart adorned by our paying sponsors. It was a perfect kick-off for our Campus Comedy Series and we're already in the works on the next one. The show also helped secure a relationship with well-placed media which we'll partner with on a few shows featuring classic rock icons."

Mike The Pike Productions is also in the process of finalizing documentation with Ticketmaster ( to become a Ticketmaster Retail Outlet. "We are thrilled to be working with Ticketmaster which will give us the potential to receive revenue, not just on our own shows, but on every single show that uses Ticketmaster to service their shows. It also brings increased national attention to our own shows due to increased exposure in selling tickets to top acts like U2, Britney Spears, Pink, etc.," states Newbauer. More coming soon from the company on casting for its feature films, an additional low-budget film production, a competition that will run year-round toward increased revenues and upcoming 2009 show announcements.
