Millar Positions for the Future With New Brand

HOUSTON, TX--(Marketwired - Feb 18, 2014) - Millar, Inc. is pleased to announce the launch of the new Millar brand and tagline, "Making the Improbable Possible," which places greater focus on customer collaboration and advancing medical diagnosis and discovery. By revealing the new brand at the American Heart Association Scientific Sessions in November 2013, Millar successfully delivered its new positioning to its core cardiovascular medicine and life sciences markets.

Millar appointed Houston firm BrandExtract to develop a brand that captures the dynamic nature of Millar's current business, while incorporating the company's rich history of product development and innovation.

The process began with a complete assessment of the current brand and the impact Millar's customers have on medicine. The result is a new brand image that perfectly combines the company's history with its vision toward the future.

The launch revealed the adoption of a bolder and more modern logo, designed with an entirely new color scheme. Initially inspired by one of the company's core products, the PV Loop System, the logo also conveys a deeper meaning. The overlapping loop design denotes the value Millar places on collaboration and its focus on the Clinical and Research markets as well as OEM relationships.

Millar's new tagline, "Making the Improbable Possible," redefines the company's vision of inspiring medical discovery, better diagnostics and collaboration to improve the lives of patients. While pushing the limits of previous marketing strategies, the tagline's bold statement is backed by thousands of customer publications detailing their breakthroughs in medical research. These publications highlight countless applications utilizing Millar products, including pre-clinical and clinical trials for drug discovery and medical device validation.

Rebranding has already opened new opportunities to expand Millar's clinical product line, as proven with the recently signed agreement to distribute the CD Leycom INCA® PV Loop System in North America.

The rebranding initiative also motivated Millar to undergo an official name change to Millar, Inc. from Millar Instruments, Inc., in order to reflect the broader goals of the company.
