Millennial Media Names Advertising Industry Veteran Stephen Root as Chief Operating Officer

BALTIMORE, MD -- (MARKET WIRE) -- April 26, 2007 -- Millennial Media, the cross-platform mobile advertising company, today announced that Stephen Root has joined the company as chief operating officer. Root brings with him proven operational expertise and deep knowledge of the digital advertising space as a result of his seven-year tenure at Advertising.com.

During his career, Root has developed diverse functional experience and earned success in both start-up companies and traditional corporate settings. Most recently, Root served as chief operating officer of Advertising.com and senior vice president of AOL/Time Warner, where he grew the company's revenue significantly and participated on the team that executed the acquisition of Advertising.com by AOL/Time Warner. As the fourth employee at Advertising.com, Root played a significant role in raising venture capital funding for the company, optimizing the sales and marketing department and overseeing the delivery of Advertising.com's technology platform.

Prior to Advertising.com, Root developed his operational and managerial prowess in positions at TESSCO Technologies and Procter and Gamble. Root earned his Masters of Science in Mechanical Engineering at Stanford University and his Bachelor of Science at MIT.
