Millennials, Mobility and Motivation Are Focus of New Report From Crown World Mobility

HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA--(Marketwired - Jun 15, 2015) - Crown World Mobility -- the world-renowned provider of domestic and international end-to-end workforce mobility solutions and talent management strategies -- is weighing in on the millennial generation with an important new report. Offering educated insight and decades of workforce mobility wisdom, Crown World Mobility answers important questions that focus on how to attract, manage, retain and motivate a generation poised to make up more than half the U.S. workforce by 2025.

"It's no secret, more and more organizations -- particularly those competing in an ever-expanding global market -- feel the pressure to decode the millennial mind," says Eric LaCore, a millennial-generation account manager at Crown World Mobility, whose organization provides transportation, mobility and relocation assistance, as well as logistics and storage services from 265 locations in some 60 countries. "As a 50-year-old relocation company, we are seeing firsthand a tremendous shift in mobility, particularly among this group. Almost as rapidly, corporate global mobility policies and programs are being updated to accommodate the changes that this generation requires. The challenge is to define them beyond the current status quo, which classifies them primarily as a purpose-driven generation. But hasn't every generation been driven by purpose?"

Companies today are scrambling to align with the values and desires of the millennial generation that -- among other characteristics -- don't necessarily agree fulfillment comes from a bigger paycheck. According to a survey conducted by Brookings, 87 percent of millennials are looking for something much more significant. As an organization involved in every aspect of mobility, Crown employees are the first point of contact and likely among the first to gain the confidence of millennials relocating to foreign countries and unfamiliar locales. In other words, CWM has a distinct advantage in identifying the characteristics, desires and expectations of America's largest and most racially diverse group that now comprises one third of the U.S population.

Since 1965, Crown has been at the forefront of providing domestic and international end-to-end workforce mobility solutions and talent management strategies, possessing a unique point of view of the millennial generation in particular. "We not only move millennials but also hire a large number of them," says LaCore. "We understand key behavior patterns, factors that drive their career decisions, and what it takes to attract top talent and keep them engaged. There's far more to this story. Simply put, we know how to tell it best."
