LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwired - Apr 23, 2013) - Miller PR (www.miller-pr.com), a premier PR agency specializing in entertainment, media and technology PR, has been awarded three 2013 Bulldog Awards including the highest honor of Gold in the nationally recognized category of Arts & Entertainment Campaign of the Year. The Bulldog Awards recognize excellence in media and publicity campaigns and are judged by a team of working journalists, who assess submissions based on their ability to achieve extraordinary visibility and influence opinion, as well as on their creativity, command of media and technology, and tenacity.
Miller PR earned two Gold level awards for its creative PR campaign for Felicia Day's 'Geek & Sundry' official You Tube channel launch, one for Best Arts & Entertainment Campaign and a second Gold for the Best Campaign Under $10,000 category. The agency was also awarded with one Silver Level honor for the Best Campaign Under $25,000 for its business-to-business communications strategy for the leading humor website and comedy studio Funny or Die.
The highly successful launch of Felicia Day's 'Geek & Sundry' YouTube channel garnered headline feature stories and extensive coverage with high-profile media including USA Today, Los Angeles Times, Wall Street Journal and The Hollywood Reporter among many others. The agency implemented a technique that focused on securing announcements in the media during two of the largest events in the entertainment industry -- WonderCon and Comic-Con.
In its outstanding campaign for Funny or Die, Miller PR's strategic program secured key business features and CEO interviews which told the corporate story behind the website known for creating the world's most-watched online humor videos. The agency secured the cover of The Hollywood Reporter's Digital Power Issue that resulted in a seven page feature, which gave an in-depth look at the growth, success, and future of the company. Additional corporate stories and CEO interviews were secured in Business Week, Bloomberg, CNN, Fox News, Wired, Advertising Age, Variety and Mashable to name a few. Earlier this year the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) awarded a Gold Award to Miller PR's campaign for Funny or Die at its annual Prism Awards in the category of Best National Print Placement.
Dawn Miller, CEO and founder of Miller PR, said; "It's a fantastic honor to have our work recognized by the Bulldog Awards and most importantly the journalists who vote for them. I'm extremely proud and delighted and share these awards with our talented team of PR professionals who contributed to these successful campaigns."
The Bulldog Awards are unique to the industry as they are the only awards judged exclusively by working journalists. All of Miller PR's winning entries will be included on the Bulldog Reporter website, as well as in the Winning PR Campaigns newsletter and The Bulldog Awards "Hall of Fame" online magazine.
